What is the Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting and Camp Fire?

The Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting and Camp Fire (ACCSCF) is comprised of volunteers from the regions throughout the Archdiocese who participate in Boy Scout, Girl Scout and Camp Fire USA programs.
The Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting and Camp Fire (ACCSCF) operates under the auspices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry.  If you would be interested in learning more about the work of ACCSCF, please contact the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry or come to a meeting, you are always welcome.

The mission of ACCSCF is promoted by the following activities:

  • Winter One-Day Retreat (Grades K-4)
  • Fall Weekend Encampment (Grades 5-12)
  • January Day of Reflection (Grades 6-12, Religious Emblem Candidates)
  • Spring Archbishop's Award Mass (For all Religious Award Recipients)
  • Adult Training (Religious Award Programs, Spiritual Development)

Mission Statement:

The Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting and Camp Fire encourages Catholic youth and adult membership in Boy Scout, Girl Scout, and Camp Fire USA programs.  The Committee will encourage parishes to become sponsoring institutions for these organizations.  The Committee also promotes the Religious Awards available through these organizations as a current and viable form of youth ministry that can enhance the faith life of Catholic youth.  The Committee will encourage youth and adults to actively practice their Catholic faith in their parish church by regular attendance at Mass, participation in religious education, and youth group activities offered by their parish and the Archdiocesan Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, and through their Scouting and Camp Fire USA programs.
