Our October 2007 Catholic Encampment was a huge
success with over 200 participants.
The youth were able to look for reminders
of Jesus in the beautiful outdoor environment at
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Camp, make
rosaries for themselves by tying knots, review
the rosary’s Joyful Mysteries, write cards to
our troops, share prayer and song by campfire,
run off energy in outdoor team games and have
the best food through out.
They also participated in service
projects and this year they cleared an area in
the woods and made rosary bead plaques for a
beautiful rosary garden, something everyone, as
well as themselves, will be able to visit for
years to come. They attended Mass with Fr. Dan
Letourneau and then got to relax with a little
music from Big G Entertainment.
A full weekend of outdoors, faith,
service, friendship, fun and the best cinnamon
rolls ever. Thanks to Rose Anne Hamen.
Thank you Rose Anne and to all the volunteers
who helped make this happen and of course thank
you to the participants who without, the
volunteers wouldn't be needed so badly.
